It’s been a month since Christmas and find ourselves moving along in a routine that seems to be missing much of our usual activities and flare. Maybe we are suffering from a lack of exiting new travel locations? Or just reeling from the seemingly never ending home-update projects? I think we are suffereing from a little stagnation right now. With 9 days of vacation approaching over Spring Break, we are hoping to recage our gyros and find something fun to do!? Suggestions are welcome…

This Christmas we will be thinking of all our family and friends who are not nearby to spend time with. The transient Army life that we lead has taken us far away from our immediate families but but provided a very special extended family around the world. We are very thankful to have all of you in our lives. We want you-our family and friends-to know that we think about you and pray for you often throughout the year.
To those in the military who are away from home, we thank you for your service and continued sacrifice. You will be in our prayers always until you are safely back home. God bless.

After 14+ years of flying, this was my first chance to fly to my hometown and land at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan! This was not only a great training opportunity but a nice way to spend a quick lay over. Nothing like meeting Momma and John there to show off the sporty ride and share a nice lunch before jetting back to work.

Kinda hard to maintain this side of the website when Facebook makes publishing content so easy! Not to say that I won’t publish anything here, but perhaps I am just trying to justify why I don’t…

A lot can change in 8 years.
On a beautiful June day in 2002, we said goodbye to our families as we boarded a flight for Frankfurt, Germany. We were all a bit apprehensive as to what we would find when we got there but equally excited to see what the future would hold.
Thanks to some wonderful sponsors and amazing friends, we certainly made the most of everything that Germany and Europe had to offer. After 8 wonderful years we would love to say that we have seen it all but there is so much that we think we missed. After travelling to so many countries from Egypt to Ireland; Spain to Poland…and experiencing an equal number of interesting cultures, we will always look back on our time in Germany – a wonderful place that we will always consider home.
Flash forward to a sweltering day in July, 2010 when we again assembled at an airport, and said, “Auf wiedersehen” to Deustchland – our home for 8 years!

Unlike traditional renewable energy technologies, like solar and wind, which are intermittent, Bloom’s technology can provide renewable power 24/7.
Each Bloom Energy Server provides 100 kilowatts (kW) of power in roughly the footprint of a parking space. Each system generates enough power to meet the needs of approximately 100 average U.S. homes or a small office building. For more power, customers simply deploy multiple Energy Servers side by side. The modular architecture allows customers to start small and “pay as they grow”.

The mark of the leader is the ability to make decisions. The mark of the survivor is knowing when not to.
